We want you and your dancer to have the most successful experience and growth during and outside of class time.
Encourage independence
Allow your dancer to enter class on their own when possible.
Trust the instructor to guide learning and behavior.
Be a positive observer
Smile, watch quietly, and celebrate effort — not just perfection. Model patience and kindness from the lobby.
Keep noise levels low
Conversations, phone calls, and siblings’ play should stay calm and quiet.
Please refrain from coaching your dancer from the lobby - very important
Dancers focus best when instruction comes from their teacher. Coaching from parents during class time confuses the student and will frustrate their learning process. If you see a correction that the teacher has not made, trust that your teacher is focusing on other skills. It is confusing to your dancer to receive too many corrections at once. Parents are not allowed on the dance floor during class time to instruct their child.
Respect studio space
Keep walkways clear and belongings tidy.
Please keep siblings entertained, off the dance floor and quiet to avoid distractions.
Avoid waving, or signaling during class.
Social Media & Privacy
Please respect all families’ privacy when taking photos or videos.
Follow studio policies about posting performances or classes.
The Importance of Your Dancer's Attire
Hair should always be off the face and pulled back in a pony tail or secured tu support better focus and concentration.
Changing into dance wear signals “class time,” helping dancers shift mentally from school/play mode. When you dress like a dancer, it helps you feel ready to dance. Dance clothes help your body move freely and safely. Teachers need to see posture, alignment, and technique to prevent injury and improve skills. Baggy street clothes can catch on limbs, hide foot placement, or restrict movement. Street shoes are not appropriate for our professional dance floor. We encourage you to invest in an appropriate dance shoe.
Remember…
Dance class is about confidence, creativity, teamwork, and joy — not just steps.
Your calm encouragement and positive presence make a huge difference in your dancer’s experience.
